Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how https://oakbridge.in, operated by Oakbridge Publishing Pvt. Ltd., uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies.
1. Strictly necessary storage
These are always on, because the Site cannot work without them. We use your browser's local storage for two purposes:
- to keep you signed in to your account, and
- to remember the items in your shopping cart.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your data.
We also store, for the length of your visit only, the campaign tag on the link you arrived through — so we can tell which of our own emails or posts led to an order. It holds nothing about you, is not shared, and is discarded when you close the tab.
2. Your choices
The banner asks about three things separately, and each is off until you turn it on. Nothing is pre-ticked. Rejecting is one click, exactly like accepting.
Analytics. With your permission we use PostHog to understand how the Site is used: which pages are opened, which titles are viewed, and where people run into trouble while buying. If you do not agree, the analytics script is never downloaded at all — it is not loaded and then ignored.
Session recording. Separate from analytics, and off unless you ask for it. It records how a page was used — clicks, scrolling, the shape of the page — so we can see where checkout goes wrong. Everything you type is masked before it leaves your browser, and so is text shown about you: your name, address, email and order details are never captured. It requires analytics to be on, because it is delivered by the same library.
Marketing. Advertising and remarketing. We run none of this today. The switch exists so that we would have to ask before we started, rather than quietly relying on a permission you gave for something else.
3. Changing your mind
Select Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page. The same choices open again, and turning something off stops it immediately. Withdrawing is meant to be exactly as easy as agreeing was, and you should not have to clear your browser to do it.
If we add a genuinely new purpose, we ask again rather than treating an old yes as covering it.
4. Third-party cookies
When you make a payment, our payment partner Razorpay may set its own cookies within its secure checkout to process the transaction. These are governed by Razorpay's own cookie and privacy policies.
5. Managing storage
You can clear or block local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings; note that doing so may sign you out and empty your cart.
6. Changes
If we introduce further non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
