About the Author –
Somesh Kumar Upadhyay is an Indian administrative service officer of 2017 batch currently serving as the Collector & DM of Deogarh district in Odisha. He has a master’s in biology (by Research) degree from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai along with UGC-NET and BSc (Hons) Microbiology degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
Geography has been his most favourite subject since school and that is what motivated him to choose the optional in the UPSC CSE 2016 where he held AIR 34.
